According to a new rumor, Nintendo may be preparing to end versions of 3DS games and Wii U eShop.
YouTube channel Vulnerability Sports Station I need to “get a message from someone” about Nintendo’s European suspension of accepting orders for new Eshop releases on 3DS and Wii U early next year. The obvious assumption is that Nintendo has announced this to developers.
This letter is complete and explains how applications for new addresses can be accepted from April 1, 2022:
We would like to inform you that at the end of the current financial year (starting April 1, 2022) it has been decided to accept orders for the new Nintendo 3DS / Wii U titles for the ESHOP release. These new titles must be approved within 3 months of the application deadline.
The Nintendo 3DS / Wii U eShops will remain active, and connection submissions will continue to be processed until further notice.
Keep this deadline in mind when planning the next digital versions of the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

If this is more than a rumor, it is worth noting that this is not the end of these sites yet. The same message further illustrates how 3DS and Wii U eShops are “active” and will continue to process patches until further notice.
This comes after Nintendo announced it would be out earlier this week Credit card support removed from 3DS and Wii U eShops in JapanStarting next January. This has already happened in regions like Europe and Australia.
