Unsold in France, Siomi’s blatant Old TV – the blatant version of the Mi TV Lux – has set foot, and both in Paris. It is also visible in Fnac des Ternes and Xiaomi Sébastopol stores.
To celebrate its tenth anniversary with much fanfare, Xiaomi for its part actually sold its first revealing Old TV in China last year. The Xiaomi Mi TV Lux transparent version uses the full HD Old panel without the rear panel to provide a 38% transparency rate. It is sold by the professional segment for a transparent old panel and advertising display produced by LG Display (55EW5TF-A). The slab seems to have been placed on the imposing circular foot covering all the connections and the 2 x 8 W audio system. The 5mm thick panel and its exposed side actually give the impression that the picture is floating above the TV. For the rest, you still have to deal with a full HD definition – it is necessary to leave enough space between the pixels to provide a certain transparency – very little and the interest in broad daylight is very low.
The TV set sold for 50,000 yuan in China, or over 6,100 over, not sold in France anyway, but those most interested can still see the original at the Fnac des Ternes (Paris, 17th) in the Xiaomi space. Also at the Shiomi Sebastopol store located at 39, Boulevard de Sebastopol (Paris, 1er).
