Valerio – A ‘cherry feast’ to remember Kronaka

It has now become a regular encounter marking the beginning of summer and each year draws dozens of friends of Valerio Baldi, a firefighter under Lugo, to his small village on November 17, 2012, in the small hamlet of Belricetto in the district of Lugo. In the countryside around Pusignano, he lost his life at the age of 34 to an electric shock. We are talking about the beautiful and good initiative ‘Ciligia Party’ dedicated to Valerio, a person who, despite the passing of years, continues to hold a place in the hearts of those who know and admire him for his good. Great charge of soul, energy, virtue and innate sympathy.

The heat and extreme humidity of a few days ago did not frighten many people, practically all ages, in the garden of the house where Valerio lived, his’ wonderful ‘parents, Mirella and Vladimiro (‘ called Miro ”). After an exquisite lunch based on traditional Romagna specialties, including cappuccino at Mirella’s self-made Caban broth, the garden of Balti’s house was increasingly filled in the afternoon, with Valerio’s friends and work colleagues coming from Lower Romagna and beyond.

Luco’s mayor, David Ranalli, and his deputy, Pascua Montaldi, were friends of Balti Mistakes. As every year, the arrival of a team of firefighters from the Lugo Division was much appreciated. Incredible roasted ‘Ficadol’ made by Francesco ‘Seco’ Castelli and Alessandro Desti and ‘Mojido’ rivers and many other refreshing cocktails, as well as Ivan and Silvio (Valerio Balti’s brother and a firefighter in Lugo’s section), Missing many delicious dishes. The ‘Siligia Party’ was accompanied by an unmistakable snack based on ‘Amaro Montenegro’ (which was Valerio Balti’s favorite) and a beautiful photo of the unforgettable firefighter cutting a cake emerged.
