The Hubble Space Telescope is out of order due to a system crash

There are problems with the Hubble Space Telescope. A computer shuts down certain settings. NASA engineers are actively trying to restart it – so far failed.

The Hubble Space Telescope has not been in service for several days. The US space agency, NASA, announced on Friday that there was a problem with the computer that controls the telescope’s scientific instruments. He hugged himself last Sunday and tried to restart on Monday but failed.

NASA says the telescope and its instruments, which have been in space since 1990, “work better”. The tools are kept in “safe mode” until the problem is resolved.

The Hubble telescope was jointly developed by NASA and the European Space Agency. Since its launch in April 1990, Hubble has revolutionized astronomy with breathtaking images from space. His recordings of the planets in our solar system, but also distant galaxies, supernova eruptions and planetary nebulae, have given Lab people a completely unexpected view of the universe.

However, the history of the space telescope has not always gone smoothly. Shortly after launch, it became clear that its main glass was not properly grounded. The result was blurry images. The error was corrected in 1993 by a space shuttle.

The telescope should actually work continuously until the end of the year. Then the new James Webb Space Telescope will replace the Hubble.
