Windows 10 21 H1 is the next phase of Microsoft’s operating system, before it gets the major update planned for later this year: Sun Valley. Microsoft announced its post on the Windows blog, which they refer to as a “feature update”. This means a small upgrade with quick installation and low weight. It is now available for download via Windows Update.
What’s new in Windows 10 21 H1?
As we have just said, Windows 10 is being released as a 21h1 feature enhancement. This means downloading and installing monthly patches or version 20H2 is faster. This is as long as you have the 2004 version of Windows 10 or 20 H2. If we have an earlier version, the installation will be done in the traditional way.
In Microsoft’s own words, Windows 10 21H1 is about security, remote access and quality. This update has put a lot of effort into answering the series of questions most frequently asked by customers:
Multiple camera support for Windows Hello. This allows users to first select an external camera when using high-level monitors with built-in cameras. Windows Defender Application Guard performance improvements, including document opening time improvements. Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) and Group Policy Service (GPSVC) updates improve performance to support remote work scenes. Replacing the old Microsoft Edge with the new Chromium-based Edge.
Hardware Requirements for Windows 10 21 H1
The requirements are the same as for the 2004 version of Windows 10, namely:
1 GHz processor. 1GB RAM for 32 bits and 2GB for 64 bits. Available hard disk 32GB. DirectX 9 compatible GPU 800 x 600 resolution screen.
How to download it
To download it, you need to go to Windows Update and it will install quickly. Being an activation package, download and installation will be quick, so you won’t have to wait long (it depends on the power of your devices and if you have an SSD).
To force checks for updates, you need to go to Settings> Update & Security> Windows Update> Updates. Please be patient, because, as usual, the output is gradual and will not appear on your device yet.
