Bioware: The anthem director says goodbye

Jonathan Warner, director of the online action title anthem, announced on Twitter that he would be leaving Bioware immediately. The reason he gave was that he wanted to dedicate himself to new projects.

Translated into German, he wrote: “So today is my last day at Biover and I am moving on to do new things. Bioware has been the home of my grateful heart for almost 10 years and I would like to extend my best wishes to you. Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Star Wars: Old Republic is in good hands and I can’t wait to play them from the other side of the screen. “

After it was revealed last month that repairs to the RPG-heavy shooter would be halted, Warner’s exit was not particularly surprising. Although “Anthem” is still available to gamers and will be supported with updates, bioware developers prefer to focus on other game brands.

In addition to “Anthem”, Warner was a producer on “Mass Effect 3” and a sports director on “Mass Effect: Andromeda”. He was also appointed Commander-in-Chief in May 2019.

What works for Bioware currently

In the future, we can expect “Mass Effect: Legendary Edition” from Bioware, which will be released on May 14 this year for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It includes the first three sections of the science fiction game series in revised form. “Dragon Age 4” is also in development, but the release date is not yet in view.
