Why some Android apps crash and how to fix it

From Monday, March 22 to Tuesday, March 23, Google encountered a major problem with Android, which affected a lot of users. Many applications have crashed for no apparent reason. If that’s your thing, here are two quick fixes.

On Tuesday night, Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd, many users complained that some apps on their Android smartphone were crashing roughly. Among these applications are numerous Google applications, including Gmail or Google Pay. This affects not only Google’s applications but all applications, regardless of their developer.

Error affecting all Android devices

According to Android Police, Samsung Galaxy users seem to be most affected by this issue. However, A Priory, All Android smartphones can experience these issues whether you have a OnePlus, Xiaomi or Pixel smartphone.

From the first reports, Google has officially acknowledged the problem. A bug is being fixed via the app update in the Play Store.

There are two ways to fix these errors again and again. The first is simple and quick handling, the second is used by Google.

Quick fix

Uninstall the latest version of Android System Webview. This component allows apps to display the webpage without opening the Chrome app, which is actually a tool widely used by developers.

You will need to uninstall the latest updates of the Android System Webview, then in the Settings and then in the Applications section. Find the Android System Webview app, then go to the menu in the upper right (three small dots).
