Cleaning Airports - How It Works

Cleaning Airports – How It Works

The most important rule when cleaning airboats in advance: Under no circumstances should you clean Airboats, Airboats Pro, Airboats Max or earboats under running water. This can severely damage the ear canals.

Why do I need to clean the airports regularly?

Apple’s in-ear earrings have a simple design in white and you can see any dirt. This applies more to the charging case than to the airboats. Nevertheless, individual components must be cleaned regularly to ensure functionality or wireless charging. Particles in the charging case can affect or prevent this. If dirt, ear wax or other objects get into the speaker of the ear, it will reduce the pleasure of listening. On microphones, this can reduce the quality of the voice during calls or have a negative effect on suppressing the noise of the Airports Pro.

Can I use disinfectant to clean airplanes?

Due to the current situation, a lot of disinfection is done and some products often cannot tolerate it. On the other hand, Apple officially states the following about the use of disinfectants in airplanes:

You can carefully wipe the exterior surfaces of the Airboats, Airboats Pro, Airboats Max or Airboats with a clean cloth dampened with 70% isopropyl alcohol or Chlorox disinfectant wipes. Wipe the speaker grills of Airboats, Airboats Pro and Earboats with these clothes under any circumstances. Do not use them on Airboat Max’s mesh caps and ear pads. Do not use bleach. Avoid getting moisture in the openings and do not immerse Airboats, Airboats Pro, Airboats Max or Airboats in soap.

How to properly clean Airports (Pro) and Charging Case?

According to Apple Do not use soaps, shampoos, hair conditioners, lotions, perfumes, solvents, detergents, acids or acidic foods, insect repellents, sunscreens, oils or hair dyes as they may cause stains or other damage.

Instead, like any apple device, you should use a soft, dry, cotton-free cloth. If necessary, you can soak a cloth lightly in water to remove stubborn dirt. Nevertheless, you will need to do dry cleaning again. With microphones and speakers, you should use a dry cotton cloth and never use a sharp tip to remove dirt. This will damage the components.

The charging case is a bit loose. Of course, you should usually use a soft, dry, cotton-free cloth here, but if necessary you can moisten it with isopropyl alcohol, being careful not to let any liquid get into the charging port. If dirt has accumulated in the lightning port, Apple recommends a brush with soft bristles. However, a wood toothpaste also works well.
