The fire brigade, rescue service and police forces were on duty Friday afternoon in the underground fire at a multi-party apartment building in the city of Wells.
According to initial reports, a fire may have erupted in or near the solid fuel stove. Residents of the home were immediately evacuated from the building when firefighters arrived. Fortunately, no one was injured. The fire in the basement was soon brought under control.
The cause of the fire is currently under police investigation.
