After a two-and-a-half-hour search, Divers pulled a 43-year-old man from a pond in Trepower Park into the freezing cold. He and three others voluntarily entered the water through holes dug in the snow. This was announced by the Berlin police on Wednesday evening. An ambulance resuscitated the man, who arrived at a hospital with a high fever.
According to preliminary investigations, the man went into the water with two women, aged 21 and 55, and a 44-year-old man. When they noticed their boyfriend was missing, the 55-year-old and two assistants searched for him but could not find him. Both assistants wounded themselves easily.
Rescue workers were alerted at 8:50 p.m. Police consider an accident. The comrades of the previously missing person were somewhat hypnotic and were being cared for in ambulances – including pastoral care, it said by emergency services.
A spokesman said a total of 52 firefighters were stationed at the Corp Pond in Trevor Park. A boat and drone had to be used to search for the missing, and paramedics wore special ice rescue cases.
First, the fire brigade tweeted that people had broken the ice. Warnings were issued before stepping on the ice surface. On the weekends, it should be ice cream in Berlin all week – with temperatures as low as minus twelve degrees.

Photos shared on social networks show firefighters going to the lake in a boat and breaking the ice with a chainsaw. There is only one lake in Trepower Park: the Corp Pond south of the Soviet monument.

The Berlin Fire Brigade has been warning more urgently than stepping on the ice surface for several days. Despite the frost, they are not stable.
