The popular script Microsoft Word gets advanced dark mode. Users should no longer be blinded, and the text area should be darker in the future.
Microsoft will soon turn off the lights in its popular writing program Word. As the software manufacturer announced on Twitter, there will be a completely dark mode in the future. So far it is only possible to darken the background and menu bars. The text field continued to shine brightly.

With the new update, the whole background should be dark now. Because the text is clear, it will be displayed in white in dark mode. To change the settings, users can switch between dark and white mode with a single click of the mouse on the display menu. However, so far, the new feature is only available to participants in the Insider beta channel of Word. It is not yet known when the update to the normal version will be available.
Meanwhile, more and more manufacturers are giving their devices and their software a darker mode. The colors are reversed and the text is displayed in white letters on a black background. This function is very popular among users. Especially in dark environments, the eyes should not be stunned by the screen or smartphone as in normal mode. What effect a dark or light mode has on the eye is debatable. Proponents claim that the dark mode protects the eyes from excessive loads. However, this has not been proven.
