Three firefighters were alerted Tuesday evening to a serious traffic accident in Bettenbach (Kirchhdorf und der Grimes district). A car landed on its side in a small stream.
A car driver who was traveling in a vehicle with his children on the Berkslidenstrace near Bettenback, for some previously unknown reason, pulled off the road on a slippery snowy road. The car landed on its side in the Fishlham stream there. Fortunately, by the time emergency services arrived all residents were able to free themselves from the vehicle. According to initial reports, the victims survived the crash with little or no injuries. The fire brigade protected the crash site and supported the care of those injured in the severe snowstorm.
Berkslitenstras was closed for about an hour and a half.
