Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium: Workable Notebook with 3: 2 Display

Lenovo is expanding its high-end X1 notebooks. The 13.5-inch ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga notebook not only comes in the named color but weighs less than 1.2 kilograms, but is 3: 2 (2256 × 1504 pixels, 450 cd / m). Thanks to the 360 degree hinges, this device with a thickness of less than 12 millimeters can be used as a tablet-powered tablet.

Eleven Generation Core i (Tiger Lake) Intel processors work on the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga, which can hold up to 16GB of LPDTR4X memory and up to 1GB of SST. WiFi 6 will always be on board, and even LTE or 5G is possible. Both USB-C sockets speak to Thunderbolt 4; Lenovo puts the battery life at 11 hours. The ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga will be available in February 2021 from 60 2560.

Tried and tested ThinkPad X1 Carbon and ThinkPad X1 Yoga series are also getting updates. Meanwhile the ninth generation carbon and the sixth generation yoga will be available in April for 1840 euros (carbon) and 2080 euros (yoga) respectively. They come with innovations like the Eleventh Core i Generation and the Thunderbolt 4.

The biggest change, compared to previous models, affects the screen: instead of 16: 9 displays, there are now 16:10 screens with a significant increase in image height. This means that the 14-inch two notebooks follow the flagship notebooks from other manufacturers: Dell’s XPS 13 and other classic 13.3 – inch devices that came with the 16:10 feature in 2020.

Small Side Note: The ThinkPad X1 Nano – a small 12.5-inch device with a 16:10 screen – was released in late fall 2020, which is not yet in stores, but it should be replaced by January 2021. Prices start at 2100 euros.

The ThinkPad X1 tablet was originally in the X1 family, but its design – a tablet with a magnetic docking keyboard card – was discontinued a few years ago. As an indirect successor, the ThinkPad X12 detachable will be available in stores starting March. Despite the similar name, it is not a high-end device, but plays in the upper middle class with prices starting at 1180 euros.

WiFi 6 is always on board, LTE is optional. The tablet alone weighs less than 800 grams; With the keyboard cover, the weight increases to 1.1 kilograms.
