You bought a subscription to o2 TV and now want to watch this show on your TV at home? There are different ways to do this. In our guide we will explain how to run the app on your TV via Android TV, Fire TV stick or Apple TV.

On your smartphone or tablet, you can download and use the o2 TV app from the Play Store or App Store. Since small displays are only partially suitable for watching TV, you can use the entire program from o2 TV on your TV. For this you need a TV box with Smart TV or Android TV, Fire TV Stick or Apple TV. Here we explain how to set up the application.

o2 TV: Setting up on a smart TV

The O2 TV app is compatible with Samsung TVs built in 2017 and later Android 5.0 and above. This includes TVs from Sony, Philips or Sharp. Installation is also possible on the Android TV box.

To download the O2 TV app, go to Playstore on your Smart TV. You follow these steps:

1. Enter “o2” in the search bar
2. Selecting the o2 TV application from the results
3. Go to “Install”
4. Wait a moment and then you can open the app
5. To complete the setup, you need to enable o2 TV on your TV. Go to “Register”
6. Scan the displayed QR code with your smartphone or use the link that appears
7. Now enter your login data for o2 TV
8. Compare the code displayed on your smartphone to the TV. If the codes match, go to “Activate TV Package” and confirm your selection
9. o2 TV is now installed

If you have the app installed on your smartphone or tablet, you can use other practical functions such as Live Preview. It converts the mobile phone into an extended remote control, allowing you to not only select new channels, but also follow the program directly while browsing. With a simple swiping gesture, the new station will run directly on your TV.

Set the o2 TV on the Fire TV

You can also access the o2 TV without the Smart TV or Android TV box. The Amazon Fire TV Stick is the simplest and cheapest way to install the app on any TV with an HTML connection.
