Samsung Introduces a UI 3 – Samsung Global News Room

New design, more customization options and ease of use

With the One UI 3, Samsung has provided the latest update for select Galaxy devices. It includes an amazing new design, lots of practical customization options and advanced functions that can help in everyday life. A comprehensive update will be available with Android 11, which underscores Samsung’s goal of providing users with operating system updates for at least three generations.

After a successful initial access plan, a UI3 will initially be available on the models of the Galaxy S20 series (Galaxy S20, S20 + and S20 Ultra). Updates for other smartphones, including the Galaxy Note 20 Series, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Note 10 Series, Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy S10 Series, will be implemented in the coming weeks.1. Users of a model in the Galaxy A series can expect an update in the first half of the new year.

“With the introduction of the One UI3, we are once again proving our continued efforts to provide the best mobile experience for our Galaxy customers,” says Dr. DM is the Chairman and Chairman of Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Communications Business. “A UI 3 is an important part of our mission to continue creating new, intuitive user experiences throughout the life cycle of our customers’ devices.”

Modern design for enhanced user experience

The advanced design of the One UI 3 aims to make it easier to use and to give the user interface an aesthetic and elegant look.

The design of frequently used features such as home and lock screen, notifications and quick panel has been modified so that important information and messages can be captured quickly. New visual effects such as blur / blur effect for announcements can help focus on essentials. Newly designed widgets make the start screen look neat and beautiful.

A UI 3 doesn’t look any different – with the update, the user interface has also been adapted. The animations and motion effects are much smoother, and thanks to the natural haptic concept, the navigation and control are more intuitive. The switches slide to the selected page, the blur of the lock screen is corrected and key clicks feel more realistic – many elements of the user interface have been adjusted to achieve this effect.

A UI 3 integrates the user experience within the Galaxy ecosystem. New functions are supported seamlessly on different devices.2

In addition, a UI 3 algorithms and AI for the camera have been modified, especially AI-based zoom for photos, autofocus and automatic exposure. This allows users to capture impressive records. Thanks to the new categories you can easily organize pictures and videos in the gallery. Here too, thanks to AI you can track things with a UI 3: similar images can be compiled with a single palette so the presentation in the gallery is neat. If you swipe the selected image on the display, you will automatically see similar images.

Video calls can now be viewed in fullscreen mode, thus focusing more on digital communication with loved ones.

As personal as possible

With One UI 3, the smartphone can be easily switched to customization options: features such as enabling dark mode or hotspot sharing can be selected by swiping or tapping through the quick panel; Images, videos and documents can be shared with others. Often selected contacts, email addresses and messenger applications for the partition can be added to the partition overview so that they can be selected quickly. The dynamic lock screen is enlarged so that each time it is switched on, a different colorful background image is displayed, which can now be selected from five variants.
