Google Maps has introduced a new “virtual treasure hunt” for UK users – and offers free movie downloads to winners.
Created on a Bespoke Google Map, the game challenges you to find and download movies around the UK from the comfort of your couch.

Movies including “Theory for All” and “Atonement” are hidden as needles in the places where they are set.

“The sanctuary is seen as renewing the pleasures of favorite films as the country is locked up and many new movie releases are delayed until next year,” Google said in a statement.
Tech Titan earlier this month teamed up with the British Film Institute to discover a list of the 50 best British films to watch over the past 50 years.

Google’s favorites selection from this list is hidden as pins in places on the map.
Search for them Map Custom pin icons in a prominent place for each image.
Tap any image in the tray below the note to help find the pin.
For example, the clue to four weddings and a funeral reads: “In the words of David Cassidy, when he was with the Bartridge family, I think I loved you and I thought you would love this theater.”

- Google also claims to have captured more than 10 million miles of Street View images
This prompts you to scan the location of the film’s iconic “I Love You” scene – south London.
If you go there on the map, you will find a pin in the shape of a goat – a continuous theme from the picture.
Google’s virtual quiz will run for two weeks from November 25 until all the icons of each film are revealed in December.
Movies and traces associated with them will be added every three days during this time, and the first person to find each pin will receive a code that allows them to rent the image on Google Play.
