From pianos and ATM machines to the potato battery farm, Doom seems to run anything these days. Nintendo’s Nostalgia Cam & Watch alarm clock working valuable FPS.

Released earlier this year, Nintendo’s Cam & Watch: Super Mario Brothers was the company’s first portable handset. But where that toy was a simple screen with a few interchangeable components, its 2020 successor is a fully functional console-slash-alarm-clock, packaged with two full Mario games.
Naturally, the hardware hacking channel Stokesmashing avoided the matter to see what else the teen kit could run. Of course, there was only one answer.

As always, the familiar FBS has to control itself to fit into a new device – and when it loses the sound effects and many ecosystems in the process, Stocksmashing will eventually run Doom in a pretty respectable configuration.
With a little time for Tinker, you can get the full source code of the channel Kitup page. They plan to get more homebrew software on the device in the future – but personally, I hope they manage to integrate Doom with the current alarm clock functionality of Game & Watch.
