Square Enix’s developers at Tokyo RPG Factory have already proven their ability to deliver beautifully tragic experiences on Switch with I Am Setsuna. And now, they’re about to embark us on another powerful journey with their next project, called Lost Sphear (read as “Lost Sphere”).
Set to arrive on Nintendo Switch this Autumn for the price of $49.99, Lost Sphear expands the gameplay features of the studio’s first title into a whole new universe. A revamped ATB battle system allowing for changing of party positions mid-fight; seamless environments ranging from dark and cloudy cities to fresh and sunny fields; an enticing story revolving around a world on the brink of destruction and hope given by young heroes… this new title is definitely tickling our curiosity with the same atmosphere that made us love the JRPG genre.
The adventure of LOST SPHEAR begins in a remote town where a young boy, Kanata, awakens from a devastating dream to find his hometown disappearing. To stop the world from being lost forever, Kanata and his comrades set out to rebuild the world around them with the power of Memory by manifesting thoughts into matter.
