Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot teases an unannounced game for Switch

Ubisoft held today its latest financial results report, and this business event was followed by a financial call where Yves Guillemot answered questions from journalists and shareholders. In addition to finally fixing the day/time of their E3 2017 presentation (June 12th, 9pm BST) – where they’ll unveil a new Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry 5, The Crew 2 – Ubisoft’s founder and CEO did a bit of teasing on an unannounced game for Switch.

More precisely, Guillemot said “We have new games on Switch. One new game not announced. Just Dance… One or two others as well“. Obviously, the latter is referring to previously-revealed titles such as STEEP, Monopoly & Rayman Legends. While some are dreaming about Red Steel 3 for the unannounced one, most fans resurfaced the “Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle” rumour.

For those who’ve never hear of it, Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a supposed work-in-progress between Ubisoft and Nintendo, a game that would feature the two massively successful franchises with mechanics of turn-based combat and two-player local co-op, coated with a goofy sense of humour. Of course, this game is a big “IF”, and whatever Guillemot was teasing, we’ll have our answer at the E3 2017, so less than a month now.
