As we draw closer to this year’s biggest video game event, the E3 2017 (June 13th – 15th), we’re still wondering what Nintendo has planned. Especially when we remember last year’s unusual strategy for the Kyoto-based company, focusing everything on Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the Treehouse Event, leaving us hanging a few more months before the long-awaited Switch reveal.
For this year, we already knew from President Tatsumi Kimishima that Nintendo won’t be holding a traditional press conference (something they haven’t done since 2012 so no big surprise here). And now, we have the full schedule of Nintendo’s highlights for the E3 2017:
- Nintendo Spotlight (June 13th – 9am PT / 12pm ET): Live streamed video presentation, featuring a closer look at Super Mario Odyssey and new details for Nintendo Switch games launching this year.
- Nintendo Treehouse Live (June 13th): Right after the Nintendo Spotlight, experts from Treehouse play through upcoming games for Switch/3DS, show behind-the-scenes info, and share some surprises.
- Splatoon 2 Tournament (June 13th): See top Splatoon squid squads from around the world claim their turf in the 2017 Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational.
- ARMS Tournament (June 14th): It’s all-out action as elite players stretch the limits of their fighting skills in the 2017 ARMS Open Invitational.
