A week ago, developer Yacht Club Games shared the upsetting news that Shovel Knight’s prequel extension Specter of Torment was being delayed on 3DS and Wii U in Europe & Australia, a setback caused by “unexpected issues” during the last stages of porting process. And while we thought it would take weeks to get things moving to a state where we could hear back from them on a release date, well it seems that it’s faster than expected.
Guys at Yacht Club Games just announced on their Twitter account that Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment is coming to the European and Australian Nintendo Wii U eShop next May 11th. However, the 3DS release as yet to be announced. But considering it just took a week for the studio to give us a launch date on Wii U, there could be more news quite soon.
