Pokémon GO celebrates blooming season with Grass-type encounters
Sunny days are back outside, so developer Niantic Labs is inviting you to go out and play with a special event that celebrates blooming season in Pokémon GO. Starting today until Monday May 8th, Professor Willow’s findings indicate that all Grass-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild. And to help us catch ’em all, Lure Modules will last longer (6 hours/item).
We don’t know if this higher chance to meet Gen 1/2 grass-types gives an advantage to some specific Pokémon, but expect to encounter Bulbasaur, Exeggcute, Chikorita, Hoppip, Sunflora and such. However, there probably won’t be any spawn of Bellossom, since this little guy is only available via evolution (Gloom with Sun Stone). And it’ll be most unlikely as well to meet Celebi, the Legendary Pokémon isn’t that easy to catch.
