Japan getting new series of Super Mario collector stamps
While this might not be the most needed goodies, Nintendo fans who happen to be in Japan this June might want to get to a post office. Why? Because the National Japan Post is about to issue a new series of stamps in celebration of Super Mario and friends from the Mushroom Kingdom.
Starting this June 28th, post offices across Japan will sell a collector series of ¥82 stamps from the original Super Mario series, based on the old cartoonish design of the main characters: Mario, Peach, Luigi, Toad & Yoshi. And if you have to chance to receive a letter franked with one of these, the post office will add a special celebration postmark. A must have for collectors, old Nintendo stamps tend to get high values over time.
