Dr Kawashima’s Devilish Brain Training finally comes to Europe
More than four years after its supposed release, the fourth entry in the Brain Age series “Dr Kawashima’s Devilish Brain Training: Can you stay focused?” is heading to Europe this Summer.
We clearly don’t know what the hell happened here, but back in 2013, the game was postponed for obscure reasons. And we waited… until Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct, when Europeans had the surprise to see the game raised from the dead. Dr Kawashima’s Devilish Brain Training has the purpose to rejuvenate your brains the sadistic way, with 30 exercises and mini-games, including 18 which are brand new (ex. “Devilish Calculations”: recall the answer to a previous mathematical problem while paying attention to the next one in line).
Dr Kawashima’s Devilish Brain Training: Can you stay focused? will release for Nintendo 3DS in Europe on July 28th.
Developed in co-operation with neuroscientist Dr Ryuta Kawashima, the idea behind Devilish Brain Training – the third game in a franchise which has sold more than 15 million copies across Europe to date – is to train your brain by completing a series of challenging exercises with an emphasis on concentration skills and focus to train your working memory; an important brain function based around the temporary storage of information for manipulation. Through playing each exercise for a few minutes per day over the course of several weeks, you will have the time to notice whether personal improvements in your focus are being made.
