Lady Layton starts her Japanese investigation on July 20th

The game is afoot for Japanese gamers!

As usual, today’s Japanese Nintendo Direct was slightly different than the one aired in North America and Europe. In it, Level-5 added a surprise for the gamers who live in the land of the rising sun, the release date of Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire’s Conspiracy.

The upcoming puzzle video game by Level-5 for Nintendo 3DS, iOS and Android will release in Japan on July 20th. This seventh entry in the series follow Katrielle Layton, the daughter of the one and only Pr Hershel Layton, who’s on a mysterious journey to search for her missing father.

[UPDATE] We’ve had a new wave of translations from the Level-5 website, and there’s some good news. While the Nintendo 3DS version of Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire’s Conspiracy will release on July 20th in Japan only, the game hits the iOS and Android platforms worldwide that same day. The iOS and Android version will cost 1,900 Yen ($17.50 / £14 / 16.50€) and have item-based in-app purchases.

Layton’s Mystery Journey is planned for North America and Europe later in 2017 on 3DS.
