Zelda Breath of the Wild Update 1.1.2 improves gaming experience

So, what's new with this one?

A new patch for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has arrived during the night on Nintendo Switch and Wii U! Just like the previous update, the patch note on the official Nintendo website can’t be more unspecific: “Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience“. So, what’s new with this Update 1.1.2?

Sorry to bring the bad news but the main areas of the game where framerate is slightly dropping haven’t improved. The Korok Forest and Kakariko Village for example still show the same drop than pre-update. No improvement on the freezes when you knock over Moblins as well.

However, the infinite arrows trick has been patched, Bokoblins on horses now shoot up to 20 arrows. Bummer. The version 1.1.2 also fixes a glitch with the Master Kohga fight, where he disappeared and made it impossible to get to Divine Beast Vah Naboris. And it seems to be all for now…

If you have played the game since the update and your Switch/Wii U is connected to internet, it should have been downloaded and installed automatically. If so, the main screen of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will show “version 1.1.2”. If the update wasn’t automatically done on your system, complete these steps:

  1. Connect the Nintendo Switch console to the Internet.
  2. Return to the HOME Menu and launch the game.
  3. The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
  4. Once installed, the newest version number will be displayed on the title screen.
