Fire Emblem Echoes Shadows of Valentia gets three new TV spots in Japan

The remake of Fire Emblem Gaiden gets ready for its release

The next instalment in the best selling tactical RPG franchise Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is hitting the stores in a little more than a month now in Europe & North America, but Japanese players will get it on their Nintendo 3DS a month before, on April 20th. So it’s now time for Nintendo Japan to send the cavalry if they want the game to be another success. Today, they’re releasing three new TV spots to introduce the main characters of this episode (Alm & Celica), show some gameplay, and even have a first look at the intro anime scene of the game.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is a full remake of Fire Emblem Gaiden (Famicom – 1992). It still offers a tactical turn-based battle system but has navigable towns and overworld, as well as simplified mechanics. This will also be the first western release of the episode, with full voice acting and anime cutscenes. We also learned yesterday that there might even be a female Corrin amiibo coming along, but nothing confirmed yet.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia releases on May 19th (Europe/North America) exclusively for Nintendo 3DS.
