The Zelda Breath of the Wild weather cycle is surprisingly realistic

So this is the breath of the wild...

Not a day goes by in the vast Hyrule of Zelda: Breath of the Wild without being amazed by something. Whether it is the physics system that seems to offer endless possibilities, the various (and sometimes peculiar) ways of finding shrines, or even the little details that the creators team implemented to render a living world, it seems to never end.

For example, take a look at what Reddit user hamptonwooster found out today: the appearing/disappearing puddle of water caused by changing weather in an area. You can see on the photos below that the rain almost creates a new landscape in a matter of minutes if you stay in a certain place. This is exactly one of the things that make The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild one of the best games ever made. It all resides in the details.
