Kamiko announced for Nintendo Switch eShop

Skipmore brings a new pixel style adventure game to the Switch

Japanese indie games developer Skipmore (1-bit Rogue, Fairune) just revealed a new game for the Nintendo Switch eShop: Kamiko – God Shrine Maidens. It will be an action adventure game with retro pixel style graphics. The gameplay will ask you to choose between three different Kamiko (i.e. Japanese typical name that you can translate to “Little Goddess”) with special elementary abilities and weapons:

  • Yamato [Water shrine maiden] Uses a sword with long reach named “Kusanagi no Tsurugi”
  • Uzume [Earth shrine maiden] living in forest; can launch long-range attack with her bow “Yasakani-no-Magatama”
  • Hinome [Fire shrine maiden] Fights by throwing her shield “Yata no Kagami”

Kamiko is at 90% of its development right now. It is set to release next month on Nintendo Switch eShop (500 Yen). Nothing has been said regarding a translated version outside Japan so you better get your Japanese ON if you want to give the game a try.

More details will be given in the next issue of Famitsu magazine on April 13th.
