Firmware Update 2.1 is available for the Nintendo Switch
Get your Switch online, it's time for an update!
The Switch sales are running at full speed and everything is going fine in Nintendo’s roadmap for the months to come. Which leaves them more time to focus on the users’ experience of their new system. To do so, the Nintendo Switch’s firmware receives today the Update 2.1.0.
So, what’s new with this firmware? According to the official Nintendo Switch System Updates and Change History, the Update 2.1.0 includes “General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience“. No major feature implemented, no Virtual Console either, it’s just to polish the interface. Hopefully, it will solve a little bug some users might have experienced, where the Switch had the impossibility to connect to the Wi-Fi. All you have to do if you encounter this problem is to reboot the system (not just put it in Sleep Mode), but maybe you won’t have to if the Update 2.1.0 fixes the issue.
Oh and one last thing, Nintendo Switch automatically downloads the most recent system update while it is connected online. You just have to check in the System Settings the version you have, and you can manually start the download if necessary.
