Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey announced for 3DS
Shin Megami Tensei is back with a few surprises
Along with first gameplay footage of Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology and the reveal of Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2, Atlus revealed a new instalment in the post-apocalyptic RPG franchise Shin Megami Tensei, subtitled Deep Strange Journey.
Teased back in January, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey is set to release on Nintendo 3DS later this year, at least in Japan. This episode marks a little evolution in the original style of gameplay, with some added elements and simplified basics to have something that’s easier to play. For example, the game save in dungeons will be available anywhere, at any time. Atlus also introduced a new character, Alex, and her story will unfold with a new ending route. Regarding the demons, there will be about 350 different ones to battle, and developers teased it will be a “DEEPer” experience.
