Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 is announced for 3DS

Atlus confirmed the sequel of Etrian Mystery Dungeon

Along with first gameplay footage of Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, Atlus revealed this morning a new game in their “New Title Announcement Special Spring 2017” live stream: Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2.

The game is a direct sequel to the first RPG crossover between Atlus’ Etrian Odyssey series and Spike Chunsoft’s Mystery Dungeon series, released back in 2015. In addition to the 10 character classes of the first episode, Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 will feature 5 new classes: Pirate, Alchemist, Kenkaku, Monk, Farmer.

First buyers in Japan will receive a free two-disc “User’s Best Album”, containing songs from the Etrian Odyssey series. A “10th Anniversary Box Limited Edition” will also be available to purchase for 9,800 Yen (~$90), including a copy of the game, a collector box and a 200-page artwork book. There’s a photo of it on Atlus’ official website. Here’s below the trailer and a first hands-on gameplay footage captured during the live stream, courtesy of NinEverything.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 launches on August 31st (in Japan), exclusively on Nintendo 3DS.
