We can’t stress this enough, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been the biggest development project of Nintendo since ever. When Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma showed exclusive ingame footage for the first time at Game Awards 2014, it was still known as “Zelda Wii U” and there was a lot of things differing from what we’re playing today. Of course, graphics were different, but locations as well have been moved since then. So, what has changed exactly?
YouTuber GameXplain just put up a video taking as a reference all the footage from Game Awards 2014 and compared it to the actual Hyrule in Breath of the Wild. He was able to find exactly the location where Miyamoto and Aonuma showed us the game for the first time, and found out that several things have disappeared since then. We also see that there’s been a slight change in the overall graphics. A possible consequence of the decision to port the game on the Nintendo Switch.
