There’s no doubt that we’re in for a treat with the upcoming J-RPG Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The Monolith Soft development team are creating another vast open-world filled with new adventures to live, but also with hours of music to listen to.
Composer Yasunori Mitsuda just updated the fans on his personal blog about his ongoing work on the soundtrack of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. With a simple image, he sets the tone. The big pile you’re seeing down there is only a quarter of the whole records list set for this new instalment in the Xeno series.
Mitsuda also said that the work schedule is on the right tracks, with five composers on the project and himself to write the score. The team will kick off large-scale recording in a few weeks, so we’ll hopefully get to hear some of their work in a pre-launch trailer.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is set to release exclusively for Nintendo Switch by the end of 2017.
