In this new episode, the development teams talk about the Open Air concept. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild truly puts the idea of an open-world to another level.
Until now, all Zelda environments were large interconnected areas, a limitation pointed by the fans. In Link’s latest adventure, Hyrule is a true open world. But how did Eiji Aonuma and his team went from Skyward Sword and other Zelda games to what we’ve discovered in Breath of the Wild? “Exploration, scale, combat, music and even a Bokoblin picking its nose” were taken into account to create this new open air masterpiece.
