The GTA-like LEGO City Undercover is back on Nintendo Switch, and the guys at TT Games are decided to right their wrongs with the game. Most important of them all, the loading times. The Wii U version was perfect in many ways, giving an experience that is without a doubt one of the most fun we’ve had on a LEGO game. But the loading times were a pain in the ass. They won’t be a problem anymore.
Answering to Game Informer, Matt Ellison – Producer at TT Games – said that improving those loading times was a “high priority” and thanks to the hard work of the development teams, they were “dramatically improved”. We can also thank the fact that now LEGO City Undercover on the Nintendo Switch will benefit of the cartridges format.
TT Games teams also confirmed some other improvements in this new version. Visuals have been updated, there’s two-player co-op along with new unlockables (ex. police officer Grace Makepiece, samurai, dinosaur suit guy). And the Nintendo Easter eggs will make their comeback.
