Last week was pretty busy for the video games sales industry. The launch of the Nintendo Switch along with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and other launch titles like Fast RMX or 1-2 Switch, the release of the gorgeous Horizon Zero Dawn on PS4, and of course the still strongly going For Honor.
So this week’s GFK games sales chart is without a doubt one of the most important in the year, for Nintendo at least. Despite all BigN efforts, Zelda Breath of the Wild wasn’t able to beat Horizon Zero Dawn, both entering the top respectively at 2nd and 1st place. Also entering the top, 1-2 Switch at 4th place, and Super Bomberman R at 7th place. Interestingly, 78% of Zelda sales were for the Switch and 22% for the Wii U.
